RIGHT GUARD
"As long as I was with them, I guarded them with Your name which You gave Me." —John 17:12
올바른 보호
" 저는 이들과 함께 있는 동안, 아버지께서 저에게 주신 이름으로 이들을 지켰습니다." —요한 17,12
When the Holy Spirit comes, He will assign us to guard certain people (Acts 20:28). This will result in a deep and personal encounter with these persons. Paul described his guard duty in this way: "Be on guard, therefore. Do not forget that for three years, night and day, I never ceased warning you individually even to the point of tears" (Acts 20:31).
성령이 오셔서 우리에게 어떤 사람들을 지키라고 할당해 줄 것입니다(사도 20, 28). 이렇게 하여 우리는 그들과 깊은 개인적인 관계를 가지게 될 것입니다. 사도 바오로는 보호자의 의무를 다음과 같이 말하였습니다. “내가 삼 년 동안 밤낮 쉬지 않고 여러분 한 사람 한 사람을 눈물로 타이른 것을 명심하며 늘 깨어 있으십시오”(사도 20,31).
Guarding people is an all-day job, which may last for years. It is done person-to-person and is so involving that we may break down into tears. To guard people properly, we must be sensitized by the Spirit. Satan has anesthetized many of God's people. Babies in the womb are murdered. Children are confused and perverted by the anti-Christian propaganda of TV. The heresy of secularism has infiltrated and in some places dominated the Church. Yet many Christians don't realize we are in a war against the devil, unnecessarily taking a beating.
사람들을 보호하는 일은 하루 종일하는 일이며 수년이 걸리는 일일 수도 있습니다. 이 일은 개인 대 개인으로 행해지는데 너무나 많은 것을 필요로 하기 때문에 눈물을 흘리는 일이 벌어질 수도 있습니다. 사람들을 잘 보호하려면 성령으로 민감해져야 합니다. 악마는 많은 주님의 사람들을 마비시켜왔습니다. 그래서 많은 태아가 태어나지도 못하고 죽어가게 되었습니다. 아이들은 TV의 반 그리스도 선전으로 혼란스러워하고 빗나가고 있습니다. 세속주의자들의 이단행위가 스며들어 어떤 곳에서는 교회를 지배하기도 합니다. 우리가 악마와 싸워 쓸데없이 패배(敗北)하고 있음을 아직 많은 그리스도 신자들은 알지 못하고 있습니다.
When the Holy Spirit has brought us out of our spiritual coma, then He gives us love for those He has assigned us to guard. Otherwise we would not go through the tears and trials of guarding people who often don't want to be guarded. Jesus is praying right now: "O Father Most Holy, protect them...I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to guard them from the evil one" (Jn 17:11, 15).
성령은 영적 혼수상태에 빠져있던 우리를 일으켜 주시고 나서, 우리가 보호해줘야 하는 사람들과 나눌 사랑을 우리에게 주십니다. 그러지 않으면 우리는 보호를 원치 않는 사람들까지도 보호해줘야 하는 데서 오는 비애와 고난을 절대 견뎌 내지 못할 것입니다. 예수님께서는 지금도 다음과 같이 기도하고 계십니다. “거룩하신 아버지, 아버지께서 이들을 지키시어 … 이들을 세상에서 데려가시라고 비는 것이 아니라, 이들을 악에서 지켜 주십사고 빕니다”(요한 17, 11. 15).
