GIVE A SAINT A JOB

 "Blest are they who hunger and thirst for holiness; they shall have their fill." —Matthew 5:6

 

성인들께 중재를 청합시다.

  "행복하여라, 의로움에 주리고 목마른 사람들! 그들은 흡족해질 것이다.." —마태 5:6

 

Did you ever want to work and help someone, but they wouldn't let you? I believe most of the heavenly saints are in this predicament. They're in heaven; they see the glory of God. They know some of us personally, and they wish all of us would join God and them. They greatly desire to help us enter into the heavenly kingdom, if we would only let them by requesting their prayers and ministry.

 여러분은 어떤 이를 돕고 싶었지만, 그들은 여러분이 관여하길 원치 않았던 적이 있었습니까? 많은 성인들도 그런 곤경에 빠져있습니다. 그들은 하늘에 있기 때문에 하느님의 영광을 봅니다. 그들은 우리 가운데 몇몇을 개인적으로 잘 알고 있지만 우리 모두가 하느님과 성인들과 같이 하길 바랍니다. 우리가 성인들의 기도와 중재를 원하기만 하면 성인들은 우리를 하늘나라에 들어가도록 도와주고 싶어합니다.

 

Jesus wants all "to be saved and come to know the truth" (1 Tm 2:4). The heavenly saints are of one mind with Him, and they would like to pray for us to be saved and sanctified. They stand "before the throne and the Lamb, dressed in long white robes and holding palm branches in their hands" and cry out, "Salvation is from our God, Who is seated on the throne, and from the Lamb!" (Rv 7:9, 10)

예수님은 모든 사람이 “구원을 받고 진리를 깨닫게 되기를 원하십니다(1 티모 2:4).”  하늘에 계신 성인들도 주님과 한 마음으로 우리가 깨끗해지고 구원 받도록 우리를 위해 기도하고자 합니다.  그들은 “희고 긴 겉옷을 입고 손에는 야자나무 가지를 들고서 어좌 앞에 또 어린양 앞에” 서서 큰 소리로 외칩니다. “구원은 어좌에 앉아 계신 우리 하느님과 어린양의 것입니다”(묵시 7:9, 10).   

 

The saints would like to say the same thing on earth. Just ask them. They "have survived the great period of trial; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" (Rv 7:14). They are willing to help us do the same. We need all the help we can get and the Lord wants to work through these people, so let's cooperate and with the saints request help from God. We will be doing things God's way, giving a saint a job, and letting ourselves be blessed.

성인들은 지상에서도 이와 같이 말하고 싶어합니다. 성인들은 “ 큰 환난을 겪어 낸 사람들이다. 그들은 어린양의 피로 자기들의 긴 겉옷을 깨끗이 빨아 희게 하였다”(묵시 7:14). 성인들은 우리를 도와 그들과 똑 같이 되기를 바랍니다. 우리가 얻을 수 있는 모든 도움이 필요할 때 주님은 이러한 성인들을 통하여 간구하여 이루어지길 바라십니다. 그래서 우리는 성인들과 서로 합심하여 성인들과 함께 하느님께 간구합시다.  성인들에게 할 일을 주고 우리도 축복을 받으면서 하느님의 방법으로 하여야 할 것입니다.
