THE DESIRES OF THE HEART

"I have come to light a fire on the earth. How I wish the blaze were ignited!" —Luke 12:49

 

예수님의 심정

“나는 세상에 불을 지르러 왔다. 그 불이 이미 타올랐으면 얼마나 좋으랴!”—루카 12:49

 

 

Jesus wants to light a fire on the earth. He wants to save and purify us by giving us a new nature. He wants to be Lord of our lives, baptize us in the Spirit, and lead us to the Father. These are the desires of Jesus' heart.

예수님께서는 세상에 불을 지르고자 하십니다. 당신께서 주시는 새로운 세상 안에서 우리가 구원받아 정화되기를 바라시며, 우리 삶의 주인으로 계시면서 성령의 세례를 베푸시어 하느님 아버지께로 인도하시기를 원하십니다. 이 모두가 바로 예수님의 심정입니다.

 

What are the desires of your heart? Do you want what Jesus wants? Even if you have Jesus' desires and priorities, how much do you want His will to be done and His kingdom to come? Do you feel anguish until all are saved? (Lk 12:50) Is your heart moved with pity at the sight of humanity? (Mt 9:36) Will you do anything to win to Jesus as many as possible? (1 Cor 9:19) Do you have a daily tension, an anxiety for all the churches? (2 Cor 11:28) Is your heart broken for the same reason as was Jesus' heart? Is your prayer the same as His? Do you want what He wants as much as He wants it?

여러분의 심정은 어떻습니까? 예수님의 심정과 같은가요? 설혹 그분의 뜻과 간절함이 여러분에게도 있다면, 그분의 뜻이 이루어지고 그분의 나라가 임하시기를 과연 얼마나 많이 바라고 있습니까? 그 일이 다 이루어질 때까지 여러분도 짓눌림을 느낍니까? (루카 12:50) 자비심으로 가엾은 마음이 듭니까? (마태 9:36) 예수님의 승리를 되도록 많이 얻기 위해 어떠한 일이라도 할 각오가 되어 있습니까? (1코린 9:19) 교회에 대한 염려가 날마다 여러분을 짓누릅니까? (2코린 11:28) 예수님과 같은 이유로 당신도 가슴 아프십니까? 기도도 그분처럼 하십니까? 그분의 바람을 그분이 바라셨던 만큼 여러분은 바라십니까?

 

If you receive the desires of your heart, this will be a curse rather than a blessing unless the desires of your heart are the desires of Jesus' heart.

여러분 마음 속에 들어온 바람이 예수님의 심정에서 비롯한 것이 아니라면, 그것은 축복이 아니라 저주로 봐야 할 것입니다.

 

 purify  깨끗하게 하다, 정화하다

 anguish  (심신의) 고통; 고뇌, 비통.

 at the sight of   ~을 보고

 humanity  인간애, 자애, 자비, 친절; (-ties) 인도적 행위, 자선 행위.

 curse  저주
