주님의 손을 잡으십시오

”사람들이 어린이들을 예수님께 데리고 와서 그들에게 손을 얹고 기도해 달라고 하였다.”

---마태 19:13-15

 

 

 

Jesus laid His hands on children and prayed for them. He holds children and the whole world in His hands. Jesus embraces us with His nail-scarred hands.

예수님은 어린이들에게 손을 얹고 기도하셨습니다. 주님은 어린이들과 세상전체를 안으셨습니다. 주님은 못 자국이 있는 손으로 우리를 안으신 것입니다.

 

Hands are for:

손은 다음과 같은 일로 쓰여져야 합니다.

 

praying,

holding our spouses and children,

embracing our brothers and sisters,

disciplining children (see Prv 13:24),

helping our neighbors,

honoring (applauding) others,

praising God (see Ps 134:2).

기도하고,

우리의 배우자와 자녀들을 안아주고

형제 자매를 안아주며,

아이들을 벌로 다스리고(잠언 13:24참고),

이웃을 도우며

다른 사람들을 칭찬하고

주님들 찬미하는 일입니다 (시편 134:2참고).

 

Hands are not for expressing:

손으로 나타내지 말아야 할 것들은:

 

anger, impurity, rejection.

분노, 음란함, 거절입니다.

 

Our hands will be instruments of righteousness and not weapons for evil (Rm 6:13) if we put our hands into the nail-scarred hands of Jesus. When we let Jesus take our hand, we are transformed as was Peter's mother-in-law (Mk 1:31). The rough hands of Jesus the Carpenter change our hands and hearts. We take Jesus' hand by believing in Him and obeying Him. We take Jesus' hand by receiving Communion, forgiving our enemies, or extending our hands to "the least of the brethren" (see Mt 25:40). Take Jesus' hand.

못 자국이 있는 예수님의 손에 우리 손을 올려 놓으면 우리의 손은 악마의 무기가 아닌 의로움의 도구가 될 것입니다(로마6:13). 예수님께서 우리 손을 잡게 하시면, 베드로의 장모님처럼 열이 싹 가시게 될 것입니다(마르 1:31). 목수이신 예수님의 거친 손이 우리 손과 마음을 변화시킵니다. 주님을 믿고 복종함으로써 그의 손을 잡게 됩니다. 성체를 영하고 원수를 용서하고 혹은 형제들 중 “가장 작은 이들 가운에 한 사람에게” 손을 내밀면 주님의 손을 영하게 됩니다(마태25:40). 주님의 손을 잡으십시오.
