LISTEN TO THE CHOSEN ONES

"He was seen by James; then by all the apostles." —1 Corinthians 15:7

 

사도들을 믿고 따릅시다

  "그 다음에는 야고보에게, 또 이어서 다른 모든 사도에게 나타나셨습니다.." —1코린토 15:7

 

Jesus selected James, Philip, and the other apostles at the start of His public ministry (Mk 3:13ff). Jesus also selected the apostles to see Him after He had risen from the dead (1 Cor 15:5, 7). No one can ever replace the witness of the apostles "as the chosen witnesses of the Lord's Resurrection" (Catechism, 860).

예수님은 공생활을 시작하면서, 야고보와 필립 그리고 그 외 다른 사도들을 선발하셨습니다(마르 3:13 참조). 또한 부활하신 후에는 사도들을 선택하시어 주님을 볼 수 있게 하셨습니다(1 코린 15:5, 7). 어느 누구도 “주님 부활을 증거할 선택 받은 증인으로” 사도들의 증언을 대신할 수는 없습니다(가톨릭교회교리서, 860)   

  

Jesus told His apostles: "He who hears you, hears Me. He who rejects you, rejects Me" (Lk 10:16). Thus, we must pay close attention to the apostles' teaching (Acts 2:42), which continues in the Catholic Church through the Pope and bishops (Catechism, 863). If we refuse to listen to the Church, we risk rejecting Jesus Himself. Jesus doesn't like it when someone refuses to listen to His witnesses (see Mk 16:11, 14).

예수님은 제자들에게 다음과 같이 말씀하십니다: “너희 말을 듣는 이는 내 말을 듣는 사람이고, 너희를 물리치는 자는 나를 물리치는 사람이다(루카 10:16).” 그러므로 우리는 교황과 주교를 통하여 카톨릭 교회에 전승되어오고 있는(가톨릭교회교리서, 863) 사도들의 가르침을 잘 따라야 합니다(사도 2:42). 교회의 가르침을 따르지 않는다면 우리는 예수님 자신을 거부하는 것과 같습니다. 예수님은 주님의 증거 자들을 믿지 못하여 거부하는 일을 싫어하십니다(마르 16:11, 14 참조).  

 

For example, I have known some couples who refuse to listen to the Church about refraining from the use of artificial birth control. They decided to form their own opinion on the subject. They expected Jesus to tell them Himself if it was against His will. Now Jesus does reveal His truth to individuals some of the time. However, Jesus has already spoken through His witnesses, the Church, about many matters of faith. To refuse to listen to the Church is to refuse to listen to Jesus (Lk 10:16) and to risk  damnation  (see Jn 5:25, 28-29).

일례로, 인위적 피임법을 사용하지 말라는 교회의 지시를 따르지 않는 몇몇 부부를 알고 있습니다. 그들은 그 문제에 대해 그들 자신만의 견해를 갖고 있습니다. 그리고 그것이 주님의 뜻에 어긋나는 일이라면 주님이 그들에게 말씀하실 것이라고 기대하였습니다.  예수님은 시간이 날 때 주님의 진리를 각 개인에게 밝히기도 합니다. 그러나 주님은 이미 신앙의 많은 문제에 대해서 사도들을 통해 말씀하셨습니다. 교회의 지시에 따르지 않는 것은 예수님을 거부하는 것이요(루카 10:16), 천벌의 위험을 감수하게 되는 것입니다(요한 5;25, 28-29 참조).

  

Repent of refusing to listen to Jesus through His  apostolic  Church! Listen to Jesus; don't risk rejecting Him.

사도들을 통해 내려오는 교회를 통해서, 주님이 하시는 말씀에 따르지 않음을 회개하십시오. 그리고 주님의 말씀을 따르십시오; 주님을 거부하는 우를 범하지 마십시오.
