CALLING ALL INTERCESSORS

중재자로서 부름 받는 것
“그러자 모세가 주 그의 하느님께 애원하였다. ‘주님, 어찌하여…’” – 탈출기 32,11
To intercede means to take the place of another in prayer. Intercession does not mean praying with someone for their needs but in place of those not praying for themselves. Since we are all sinful and weak, we all have gaps in our prayers and need someone else to "stand in the gap," to take our place, to intercede. "Thus I have searched among them for someone who could build a wall or stand in the breach" (Ez
남을 위해 하느님께 대신 기도해 주는 것을 대도(代禱) 라고 합니다. 대신 기도한다는 것은 어느 누군가를 위한 필요사항을 이루어달라고 기도하는 것이 아니라 자신을 위해 기도하지 않는 사람들을 대신 해서 그들을 위해 기도해 주는 것입니다. 우리는 모두 죄인이고 약합니다. 우리가 우리를 위해서 기도할 때 조차도 신에게 도달하기 까지 거리가 있기 때문에 우리는 우리 대신 그 거리를 채워 줄 수 있는 중개자가 필요한 것입니다. "그래서 우리는 우리들 대신 성벽을 보수하며 그 성벽이 무너진 곳에 서 줄 사람이 필요합니다." (에제키엘서 22,30).
Often we don't feel like taking other people's places. We've got enough holes in our own lives and prayers, without having to fill others' gaps. But the Lord calls each of us to take each other's places, and some are called to intercede in a great way.
종종 우리는 남을 위해 무엇인가를 할 필요를 못 느낍니다. 남들의 부족한 점을 채워 주지 않아도 우리들 자신의 인생에 구멍 난 곳이 많기 때문입니다. 그러나 주님께서는 우리가 주위 사람들을 대신해서 일을 해주시길 바라시고, 어떤 사람은 중재를 잘 하도록 특별히 부름을 받기도 합니다.
Moses became a great intercessor. He didn't feel like standing in for the Israelites in prayer, especially after their disobedience and constant complaining, but he did. He prayed to God: "Let Your blazing wrath die down; relent in punishing Your people" (Ex 32:12). "So the Lord relented in the punishment He had threatened to inflict on His people" (Ex 32:14).
모세는 뛰어난 중재자가 되었습니다. 그는 이스라엘 자손들이 하느님께 복종하지 않고, 끝없이 불만에 가득 차 있는 것을 보고, 그들을 위해 대신 기도하고 싶지 않았지만, 그는 탄원 했습니다. 모세는 하느님께 기도했습니다. "주님, 타오르는 진노를 푸시고 당신 백성에게 내리시려던 재앙을 거두어 주십시오." (탈출기 32,12). "그러자 주님께서는 당신 백성에게 내리겠다고 하신 재앙을 거두셨습니다. " (탈출기32,14).
This Lent, this life, save a nation, save a soul, save a life. Intercede.
이번 사순절에, 지금 당신의 인생에서, 나라를 구하시고, 영혼을 구하시고, 생명을 구하십시오. 그들을 대신해서 기도하십시오.
