우리가 직면해야 할 것들
“일어나 가운데에 서라” — 루카 6:8
Although Jesus is "gentle and humble of heart" (Mt 11:29), He boldly confronted the religious leaders of His time. The scribes and Pharisees were furious because Jesus healed on the Sabbath. Jesus could have healed on another day or in an inconspicuous way. Instead He commanded the man with the withered hand to stand up in front of everyone, and then healed him (Lk 6:10). The religious leaders reacted to this confrontation with frenzied plots against Jesus (Lk 6:11).
예수님은 “온유하고 겸손하시지만” (마태 11:29) 당시 종교 지도자들에게 담대하게 맞서셨습니다. 율법 학자들과 바리사이파 사람들은 예수님께서 안식일에 사람을 고치셔서 화가 단단히 났습니다. 예수님께서는 다른 날 치유하시거나, 혹은 눈에 띄지 않게 하실 수도 있었습니다. 대신 예수님께서는 손이 오그라든 사람더러 사람들 앞에 일어서라고 말씀하시고는 그를 고쳐주셨습니다. (루카 6:10) 종교 지도자들은 광포한 음모로 이러한 대립에 반응하였습니다. (루카 6:11)
Like Jesus, Paul strongly confronted the man guilty of "living with his father's wife" (1 Cor 5:1). Paul announced: "I hand him over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord" (1 Cor 5:5). We also are called to boldly confront sin, both in ourselves and in others. After cleansing our own temples (Lk 19:45), we must unequivocally call sin "sin," and hate sin, while loving sinners. Confront Satan, self, and sin.
예수님처럼, 바오로는 “자기 아버지의 아내를 데리고 사는” 죄를 지은 사람에게 대항하였습니다 (1코린 5:1). 바오로는 “그러한 자를 사탄에게 넘겨 그 육체는 파멸하게 하고 그 영은 주님의 날에 구원을 받게 한다” (1코린 5:5) 고 선포하였습니다. 우리들 또한 우리 안에 있는 죄와 다른 이들에게 있는 죄 모두에 용감하게 맞서도록 부르심을 받았습니다. 우리 자신의 성전을 정화한 이후에 (루카 19:45) 우리는 죄를 “죄”라고 명료하게 말하며 죄를 미워하는 동시에 죄인들을 사랑해야 합니다. 사탄과 우리 자신, 그리고 죄에 맞섭시다.
