SOON AND VERY SOON

 "...looking for the coming of the day of God and trying to hasten it!" —2 Peter 3:12

 

머지 않아, 잠시 후에

 “…하느님의 날이 오기를 기다리고 그날을 앞당기도록 해야 하지 않겠습니까?” 베드로 2서 3:12

 

 

 Are you trying to speed up Jesus' Second Coming? The sooner the better! No matter how happy you are on earth, you're still exiled in a strange land (1 Pt 2:11). Won't you feel good going home to Abba in heaven? So cry out "Maranatha," "Come, Lord Jesus!" (Rv 22:20) Pray, repent, and lead others to Jesus. With every word, the seconds tick away, "soon" becomes "sooner," and time approaches the timeless. "Come, Lord Jesus!"

예수님의 재림을 재촉하기 위한 노력을 하고 계십니까? 빠르면 빠를수록 좋겠지요! 여러분이 이 세상에서 얼마나 행복하든지 여러분은 나그네 땅에서 망명 생활을 하는 것뿐입니다. (1베드 2:11) 하늘에 계신 압바께, 집으로 돌아가면 정말 좋지 않겠습니까? 외치십시오, “마라나타!” “오십시오, 주 예수님!” (묵시 22:20) 기도하십시오, 회개하십시오, 다른 이들을 예수님께로 이끄십시오. 결단코, 매 순간은 지나가며 멀지 않은 미래는 점점 더 가까워 집니다. 시간은 시간을 초월하게 됩니다.  “오십시오, 주 예수님”

 

We all must get ready for Jesus' Second Coming because some of us are speeding it up. He's been waiting on us and, when we get as ready as we're going to be, then He will come riding on the clouds, accompanied by the angels, at the final trumpet blast (1 Thes 4:16). "So, beloved, while waiting for this, make every effort to be found without stain or defilement, and at peace in His sight. Consider that our Lord's patience is directed toward salvation" (2 Pt 3:14-15).

우리 모두는 예수님의 재림에 준비가 되어 있어야 합니다. 우리 중 어떤 이들이 (재림을) 앞당기고 있기 때문입니다. 예수님께서는 우리를 기다려 오셨습니다. 그리고 우리가 준비가 되는 대로 그분께서는 대천사들의 목소리와 나팔 소리를 울리며 하늘에서 내려오실 것입니다. (1테살 4:16) “그러므로, 사랑하는 여러분, 여러분은 이러한 것들을 기다리고 있으니, 티 없고 흠 없는 사람으로 평화로이 그분 앞에 나설 수 있도록 애쓰십시오. 그리고 우리 주님께서 참고 기다리시는 것을 구원의 기회로 생각하십시오.” (2베드 3:14-15)

 

Don't sell out to the world. Don't haveCaesar's coins on you, because you don't belong to Caesar (Mk 12:17). You are not of the world, but have been chosen out of the world (Jn 15:19). "What we await are new heavens and a new earth where, according to His promise, the justice of God will reside" (2 Pt 3:13).

세상에 현혹되지 마십시오. 카이사르의 동전을 여러분 안에 지니지 마십시오. 왜냐하면 여러분은 카이사르에게 속해 있지 않기 때문입니다. (마르 12:17) 여러분은 이 세상 것이 아니라 세상에서 뽑힌 사람들입니다. (요한 15:19) “우리는 그분의 언약에 따라, 의로움이 깃든 새 하늘과 새 땅을 기다리고 있습니다.” (2베드 3:13)
