Reflection

     The woman who approached Jesus is a hero. She recognized the power of Jesus to heal her daughter and despite all odds, she persisted in her request for His attention and mercy. She was not Jewish, she had no social status, but she had a sick daughter and she wanted her to be well. No one would get in her way or stop her from asking the Lord for help.

 

     Faith has its heroes, often called saints. They try to make the world a better place, help other people, give of themselves, make God's Presence known, teach and share the faith, and spread the Gospel message. Faith calls us to work for God, to do something that really and truly makes a difference in our church, in our world, and in the lives of those we love. Be a hero of faith!
