Reflection

We are surrounded with so many gifts that we might take them for granted. It is not that we are  ungrateful, but such an abundance becomes commonplace and we can easily forget how fortunate we are. Food, clean air and water, health, family, friends and freedom are blessings that many people struggle for each day, and we rarely give them a second thought. God has indeed blessed us and in return, we can only offer our thanks and praise.

Jesus reminds us of our blessings and calls us to share with others. The amazing thing about God's gifts is that they never expire, or run short, or fail us in any way. They grow and multiply as we share them with others. We never can give all our faith away, or run short of hope, or have love fail. We give what we have received so that we can receive what we give.
