Reflection

     Jesus' concern for the people was like that of a parent. He himself was tired and He went to a deserted place, but the people followed Him. He took pity on them and began to give them what they needed: His message of God's love. He knew they were tired and hungry and He wanted to give them food and rest. Like a good parent, He took care of them and gave them all He could give.

 

     God will never abandon us. He will never forget us. His love is so great that He gives us Himself for food, his life for our sins, and His blood for our salvation. Without a second thought, God empties Himself so that we are filled with all that is good and holy. God's love conquers all sin and doubt and raises us up to Him. He knows us and loves us well.
