Reflection

     The teaching of Jesus might offend those who are sensitive to labor issues, but this parable is not about work and pay. The parable describes the power of God's generous love. Nothing we do merits such love, but God gives His love freely. It is His gift that forgives, heals, sanctifies and gives life. It is not measured in terms of quantity, but quality. You don't need much and just a little bit makes a big difference.

 

     People may feel that they are overwhelmed by sin, abandoned and rejected by God, doomed to hell. God's love is so powerful that nothing can stop it. God's desire, purpose and goal is to love and save  us. Even the last one to accept His love will be as loved as the first. All He asks in return is for us to love Him. A little bit makes a big difference!
