Reflection

     The stone rejected by the builders not only finds a place to fit in, but a place of prominence and special importance. As a metaphor for Jesus' role as Messiah, He would be rejected by those who could not understand or accept His teaching. Yet He would unite us all as His Body, the Church. The leaders and teachers of His day would fail to see what peasants, children and sinners would understand and embrace.

     Each member of the Church has a contribution to make and a story to tell. Our unique lives blend  together perfectly, united by our faith in Christ, to form His Body. Do not underestimate anyone's story, even your own. The Church is complete only when we are all present, all working, all sharing the life and grace we have been given. We are unique people--so says our Lord!
