  코로나가 인류에게 보낸 편지

the earth whispered but you did not hear.
▪지구가 속삭였지만 당신들은 듣지 않았습니다.

the earth spoke but you did not listen.
▪지구가 소리를 내 이야기했지만 당신들은 듣지 않았습니다.

the earth screamed but you turned a deaf ear.
▪지구가 소리쳐 외쳤을 때 당신들은 오히려 귀를 막았습니다.

and so i was born...
▪그래서 내가 태어났습니다.

i was not born to punish you...
▪나는 당신들을 벌 주기 위해 태어난 것이 아닙니다.

i was born to awaken you.
▪나는 당신들을 깨우기 위해 태어났습니다.

the earth cried out for help...
▪지구는 도와 달라 외쳐왔습니다.

massive flooding. but you didn't listen.
▪대규모 홍수로 외쳐도 당신들은 듣지 않았고,

burning fires. but you didn't listen.
▪큰 산불들로 외쳐도 당신들은 듣지 않았고,

strong hurricanes. but you didn't listen.
terrifying tornadoes. but you didn't listen.

you still don't listen to the earth when...
ocean animals are dying due to pollutants
in the waters.
▪해양 오염으로 바다 생물이 죽어가도 당신들은 여전히 지구의 외침을 듣지 않습니다.

glaciers melting at an alarming rate.
▪빙하가 녹아내리는 심각한 경고에도,

severe drought.
▪혹독한 가뭄에도,

you didn't listen to how much negativity
the earth is receiving...
▪지구가 얼마나 심각한 부정적 영향을 받고 있는지 들으려 하지 않았습니다.

non-stop wars.
▪전쟁이 끊이지 않고,

non-stop greed.
▪욕심은 멈추지 않고,

you just kept going on with your life...
no matter how much hate there was..
no matter how many killings daily...
▪무수한 증오에도, 매일 수 많은 생명이 죽어가도 당신들은 그저 당신들의 삶을 이어갈 뿐이었습니다.

it was more important to get that latest iphone
than worry about what the earth was trying to tell you.
▪당신들에게는 지구가 보여주는 수 많은 징후에 관심을 갖기 보다는 최신 아이폰을 갖는 것이 더 중요했습니다.

but now i am here.
▪그러나 이제 내가 여기 있습니다.

and i've made the world stop in it's tracks.
▪그리고 이제 내가 세계가 돌아가는 그 궤도를 멈추게 했습니다.

i've made you finally listen.
▪내가 마침내 당신들에게 듣게 만들었습니다.

i've made you take refuge.
▪︎당신들로 대피하게 만들었고,

i've made you stop thinking about materialistic things.
▪︎더 이상 물질적인 것에만 집중하지 못하게 만들었습니다.

now you are like the earth...
▪이제 당신들은 지구가 어떤 상태인지 느낄 수 있게 되었습니다.

you are only worried about your survival.
▪생존에 대한 진정한 염려를 알게 되었습니다.

how does that feel?
▪그것을 느낄 수 있습니까?

i give you fever like the fires burn on earth.
▪︎지구 온난화가 심해지는 것 처럼 당신들에게 고열을 일으켰고,

i give you respiratory issues... like the pollution
filling the earth's air.
▪지구의 대기가 오염으로 가득 찬 것처럼 당신들에게 호흡곤란을 가져다 주었습니다.

i give you weakness... as the earth weakens
every day.
▪지구가 매일 약해지는 것 같이 당신들에게 연약함을 주었습니다.

i took away your comforts...your outings.
the things you would use to forget about
the planet and its pain. and i made the world stop...
▪세계를 멈추게 만들어 당신들로 지구와 그 아픔을 잊게 만들었던 편안함과 즐기던 외출을 당신들로부터 가져갔습니다.

and now...
▪그리고 이제….

china & india have better air quality, the skys are clear blue because factories are not spewing pollution into the earth's air.
▪중국과 인도의 하늘이 깨끗해지고 공기의 질이 달라졌습니다. 단지 공장들이 더 이상 오염물질을 지구의 대기에 내뿜지 않게 된 것으로 이러한 일이 일어났습니다.

the water in venice is clean and dolphins
are being seen again, because the gondola boats
that polluted the water are not being used.
▪베니스의 물이 깨끗해지고 돌고래들이 다시 보이기 시작했습니다. 단지 곤돌라가 멈추는 것 만으로 이러한 일이 일어났습니다.

you are having to take time to reflect on
what is important in your life.
▪당신들은 비로소 당신들의 삶에 진정으로 중요한 것이 무엇인지 새겨볼 수 있는 시간을 갖게 되었습니다.

again i am not here to punish you.. i am here to awaken you...
▪나는 여기에 당신들을 벌 주러 와 있는 것이 아닙니다. 당신들을 깨우기 위해 온 것입니다.

when all this is over and i am gone...
▪내가 떠나고 이 모든 것이 지나간 후에….

please remember these moments..
▪제발 이 시간들을 기억해 주세요.

listen to the earth.
▪지구의 이야기를 들어주세요.

listen to your soul.
▪당신 영혼의 소리에 귀 기울여 주세요.

stop polluting the earth.
▪더 이상 지구를 오염시키는 것을 멈춰 주세요.

stop fighting amongst each other.
▪싸움을 멈추고,

stop caring about materialistic things.
▪더 이상 물질적인 데 매달리지 말아 주세요.

and start loving your neighbours.
▪그리고 이제 이웃 사랑하기를 시작해 보세요.

start caring about the earth and all its creatures.
▪지구와 그 안의 모든 생물을 보살펴 주세요.

start believing in a creator.
▪그리고 마지막으로 창조주를 인정하세요.

because next time i may come back
even stronger...
▪그렇지 않다면 혹 내가 다시 돌아오게 될 수 있습니다. 그리고 그때는 지금보다 훨씬 강력한 모습으로 오게 될 것입니다.
