Reflection

 

     Jesus points o u t t h a t outward signs of piety are not necessarily signs of true religion and faith. There are those who do all the right things, but their hearts are far from God. There are those who want respect and important titles, but lack true faith to back them up. True faith and love of God is more than skin deep; it touches and transforms the soul.

 

     We can easily find ourselves going through the motions of faith while our hearts and minds are far away. We can claim to be believers, but our actions and practices are contrary to God's law. Our actions need to match our beliefs so that our witness to God is genuine. Our faith is more than what you see; it's soul deep!
