Lord Jesus, you are Lamb sent by God, the spotless one, unblemished and free from all sin. Though subject to all the temptations and trials of our fallen humanity, you remained pure in thought, word, and deed. No flaw can be found in you, who are pure love and complete holiness. You are the only one who could stand before God as our representative and offer yourself as a holy and living sacrifice for all of our sins and iniquities!
As God‘s Lamb, you freely poured out your blood for us. It is your precious, undefiled blood that washes sin away from us. It is your blood that marks us as your own and protects us from eternal death. Though our sins are like a stain upon our soul, your blood makes us new and fresh and clean.
As God's Lamb, you also allowed your body to be crucified and pierced for us. It is your very flesh, given to us in the feast of the Eucharist, that sustains us for our journey. As we partake of your body, you strengthen and comfort us in the long and sometimes difficult journey of our lives of faith. How amazing that you never tire of offering yourself to us, coming to us every time we remember and celebrate what you did for us on the cross.
Jesus, you are the humble Lamb of God who does not seek to exalt himself but lovingly lowers himself so that we can be exalted. Even when we make ourselves your enemy, you reach out to us, offering your cleansing and refreshing mercy. And not only do you forgive, you show us how to love our own enemies as we follow your example of humility.
Jesus, you are our Lamb, the one we procure for our household. We choose you and come to you so that we may be sprinkled with your blood and purified. We come to you so that we may eat your saving flesh and drink your holy blood. We come to you so that we can follow your example of humble service and love. We come to you with the whole assembly present to celebrate this Passover of the Lord, the fulfillment of all the promises of God, where our Paschal Lamb offered himself for us!

Have mercy on us!"

주 예수님, 당신은 흠 없고 티 없으며 온갖 죄에서 자유로운 하느님의 어린양이십니다. 타락한 인간이 겪는 모든 유혹과 시련에도 생각과 말과 행동에 있어 순결함을 지키셨습니다. 아무런 흠결도 찾아볼 수 없는 당신은 순수한 사랑이며 완전한 거룩함이십니다. 당신은 우리의 대리인으로 하느님 앞에 설 수 있는, 또한 우리의 죄와 부정함을 씻기 위해 당신 자신을 거룩하며 살아 있는 희생 제물로 내어 주시는 유일한 분이십니다!
당신은 하느님의 어린양으로서 우리에게 당신의 피를 아낌없이 부어 주십니다. 우리를 죄에서 깨끗이 씻어 주는 것은 당신의 고귀하고 순결한 피입니다. 우리가 당신의 것임을 나타내고 우리를 영원한 죽음에서 보호하는 것도 당신의 피입니다. 우리 영혼이 죄로 얼룩져 있다 해도 당신의 피는 우리를 새롭고 신선하며 깨끗하게 만들어 줍니다.
당신은 또한 하느님의 어린양으로서 우리를 위해 당신의 몸을 십자가에 매달고 못 박게 하셨습니다. 그것은 성체성사 때에 우리에게 주시는 바로 그 몸으로, 우리가 여정을 계속할 수 있게 지탱해 줍니다. 우리가 당신의 몸을 받아먹음으로써 믿음의 삶이라는 길고도 때로는 힘든 여정에서 우리에게 힘과 위안을 주는 것이지요. 우리에게 당신을 내어 주시는 데에도, 또 우리를 위해 십자가상에서 희생하심을 기억하고 기념할 때마다 우리에게 오시는 데에도 결코 지치시는 법이 없으니 얼마나 놀라운지요.
예수님, 당신은 자신을 높이려 하지 않으시고 사랑의 마음으로 낮추시어 우리가 높아질 수 있게 하신, 겸손한 하느님의 어린양이십니다. 심지어 우리가 당신의 원수처럼 행동해도 우리에게 오시어 죄를 씻고 새롭게 하는 자비를 베풀어 주십니다. 게다가 당신은 우리를 용서할 뿐만 아니라, 우리가 어떻게 우리의 적을 사랑할 수 있을지도 보여 주십니다. 당신 겸손함의 표양을 따르면 되는 것이지요. 
예수님, 당신은 우리 가정에 꼭 계셔야 하는 우리의 어린양이십니다. 당신의 피가 우리에게 뿌려져 깨끗해질 수 있도록 우리는 당신을 선택하고 당신께 나아갑니다. 우리를 구원하시는 당신의 살을 받아먹고 거룩한 피를 받아 마실 수 있게 우리는 당신께 나아갑니다. 당신이 보여 주신 겸손한 사랑과 봉사의 표양을 따를 수 있도록 우리는 당신께 나아갑니다. 파스카의 어린양이 우리를 위해 자신을 내어 주심으로써 하느님께서 하신 모든 약속을 완성하신 이 과월절을 기념하려고 모인 모든 이들과 함께 당신께 나아갑니다!

세상의 모든 죄를 없애시는 분,
저희에게 자비를 베푸소서!”
