RISEN LIFE IN JESUS
"Since you have been raised up in company with Christ, set your heart on what pertains to higher realms where Christ is seated at God's right hand. Be intent on things above rather than on things of earth." —Colossians 3:1-2
예수님 안에서 다시 태어난 삶
“그러므로 여러분은 그리스도와 함께 다시 살아났으니, 저 위에 있는 것을 추구하십시오. 거기에는 그리스도께서 하느님의 오른쪽에 앉아 계십니다. 위에 있는 것을 생각하고 땅에 있는 것은 생각하지 마십시오.” — 콜로새 3:1-2
Alleluia! Jesus is risen! His tomb is empty! "Death has no more power over Him" (Rm 6:9). Alleluia!
알렐루야! 예수님이 부활하셨습니다! 그분 무덤은 비어 있습니다! “죽음은 더 이상 그분 위에 군림하지 못합니다” (로마 6:9). 알렐루야!
Because we've been baptized into Christ, we have died with Him (Rm 6:4). "If we have been united with Him through likeness to His death, so shall we be through a like resurrection" (Rm 6:5). This very day we have already "been raised up" with Jesus to share in His glorious, heavenly, risen life (Col 3:1).
우리는 그리스도와 하나되는 세례를 통하여 그 분과 함께 묻혔습니다 (로마 6:4). “사실 우리가 그분처럼 죽어 그분과 결합되었다면, 부활 때에도 분명히 그리될 것입니다” (로마 6:5). 바로 오늘 그리스도와 함께 “다시 살아나” 영광스러운 천상 부활의 삶을 누리게 되었습니다 (콜로새 3:1).
For many, the joy of Easter means to return to the things we gave up for Lent. It's back to chocolate, sweets, soft drinks, ice cream, etc. Yes, we do have to "celebrate and rejoice" on Easter (Lk 15:32), and these treats help us to celebrate, but if we find our joy simply in returning to the old life we lived before Lent, we will have missed Easter.
많은 이들에게, 부활절은 사순절 때문에 포기했던 것들을 다시 즐길 수 있는 날을 뜻합니다. 초콜렛, 사탕, 청량음료, 아이스크림 등을 다시 찾습니다. 그렇습니다. 부활절에는 “즐기고 기뻐해야” 합니다 (루카 15:32). 이런 것들은 우리가 경축하는데 도움이 됩니다만, 만일 사순절 이전의 삶으로 돌아가야 즐겁게 지낼 수 있다면 부활절의 의미를 제대로 이해하지 못하게 될 것입니다.
Jesus is the reason for the season! He is risen! We are invited to a risen life with Him that is so new, powerful, and exciting that we can't sufficiently celebrate it with the "old yeast," that is, our old joys and lifestyle (1 Cor 5:7). Let us "be intent on things above rather than on things of earth" (Col 3:2). Let's celebrate the fifty-day Easter season by immersing ourselves in God's Word, which is sweeter than the tastiest candy (Ps 119:103), and in the Eucharist, the "bread of sincerity and truth" (1 Cor 5:8).
예수님은 부활절의 존재이유입니다! 예수님이 부활하셨습니다! 그분과 함께 다시 태어난 삶으로 여러분을 초대합니다. 이러한 삶은 너무나 새롭고 건실하며 가슴을 설레게 하기 때문에 “묵은 누룩”, 곧 우리 옛 삶의 방식으로 경축하기에는 미흡합니다 (1코린 5:7). “위에 있는 것을 생각하고 땅에 있는 것은 생각하지 마십시오” (콜로 3:2). 사탕보다 더 달콤한 하느님 말씀을 깊이 새기고 (시편 119:103), “순결과 진실이라는 누룩 없는 빵”이신 성체를 항상 마음에 담아 (1코린 5:8), 50일간의 부활시기를 기쁘게 보냅시다.
