"Our Father, who art in heaven…"
"Hallowed be thy name," Father, may your name be known on this earth! Reveal the holiness of your name, so that it may be revered, honored, and respected among all people. Make it understood that you are Abba, the Daddy who delights in his children. Make known your mercy and grace, that all who bound in sin or sorrow would turn to you for healing and consolation. Make known your greatness, that all would praise your majesty!
"Thy kingdom come, thy will be done." Let it come now, Father! Let your will be done in our lives. Show us your will as we listen to you in prayer and as we read your word. Give us the zeal to accomplish it here on earth, as it is in heaven. Father, free us from selfishness, fear, worry, and sorrow, and let the joy of your kingdom come into our hearts.
"Give us this day our daily bread." Father, the storehouses of heaven are yours. Open them to us, and pour out the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, courage and patience, self-control and love. We hunger and thirst for you­feed us with the bread of life, your Son, Jesus. Fill us with his presence and power, his healing and compassion. Nourish us and sustain your life in us today.
"Forgive us our trespasses." Forgive us our unbelief, our grumbling, and our fear. Cancel the debt we've amassed through our lack of discipline and restraint, and through our bitterness, resentment, and disregard for others. Father, you make all things new; make our hearts and minds new! Not just ours, but all on the face of the earth. Help us to forgive those who have hurt us, as completely as we want you to forgive us.
"Lead us not into temptation." Lead us in your truth, Father, and guide us. You know the things that lure us away from you and entice to compromise with the evil one. You know our weaknesses­protect us, Lord! Free us and deliver us from whatever lies and deceptions of Satan we have already consented to. All-powerful Father, hold us close, so that nothing and no one wrenches us from your loving embrace!

"Father, let the power and glory
of your kingdom shine through us today,
that by our example the world would
come to honor your holy name!"

“하늘에 계신 저희 아버지 …”
“아버지의 이름을 거룩히 드러내시며,” 아버지, 이 세상에 당신의 이름이 널리 알려지기를 빕니다! 아버지 이름의 거룩함을 드러내시어, 모든 이들이 그 이름에 흠숭과 영광과 존경을 드리게 하여 주십시오. 당신께서 자녀들로 인해 기뻐하시는 아빠, 아버지이심을 알게 하여 주십시오. 당신의 자비와 은총을 널리 알리시어 슬픔에 매여 있는 사람들이 당신께로 와 치유되고 위로받게 하여 주십시오. 아버지의 위대하심을 널리 알리시어, 모든 이들이 당신의 엄위하심을 찬양하게 하여 주십시오!
“아버지의 나라가 오게 하시며, 아버지의 뜻이 이루어지게 하소서.” 아버지의 나라가 지금 오게 해 주십시오! 아버지의 뜻이 저희 삶에서 이루어지게 하시고, 우리가 기도하면서 아버지께 귀 기울일 때나 아버지의 말씀을 읽을 때 아버지의 뜻을 보여 주십시오. 아버지의 뜻을 하늘에서와 같이 이곳 땅에서도 이루려는 열망을 저희에게 주십시오. 아버지, 저희를 이기심과 두려움, 걱정과 슬픔에서 헤어나게 하여 주시고, 저희 마음속에 아버지 나라의 기쁨이 가득 차게 하여 주십시오.
“오늘 저희에게 일용할 양식을 주시고,” 아버지, 하늘 나라의 곳간은 아버지의 것입니다. 그 곳간을 열어 지혜와 지식, 용기와 인내, 절제와 사랑의 보화를 저희에게 쏟아 주십시오. 저희는 당신께 굶주리고 목마르오니, 생명의 빵이신 당신의 아들 예수님으로 저희를 먹여 주십시오. 예수님의 현존과 권능, 치유와 자비로 저희를 채워 주십시오. 저희를 양육하시어 오늘 저희 안에서 주님의 생명이 자라나게 하여 주십시오.
“저희 잘못을 용서하시고,” 저희의 믿음이 깊지 못함과 불평하고 두려워함을 용서하여 주십시오. 저희가 원칙과 절제의 부족, 슬픔과 분노, 다른 사람에 대한 무시 등으로 인해 쌓아 놓은 빚을 탕감하여 주십시오. 아버지, 아버지께서는 모든 것을 새롭게 하시니, 저희의 마음과 정신을, 저희만이 아니라 이 땅에 사는 모든 이들의 마음과 정신을 새로이 하여 주십시오! 주님께서 저희를 완전히 용서해 주시기를 바라는 만큼, 저희도 완전하게 저희에게 잘못한 이를 용서하도록 도와주십시오.
“저희를 유혹에 빠지지 않게 하시고,” 아버지, 저희를 당신의 진리로 이끌고 인도하여 주십시오. 주님께서는 저희가 무엇 때문에 주님에게서 멀어지고 악과 타협하게 되는지 아십니다. 주님께서는 저희의 약점을 아시니, 주님, 저희를 지켜 주십시오! 저희가 한때 용인했던 사탄의 온갖 거짓과 속임수에서 저희를 구하시어 자유롭게 해 주십시오. 전능하신 아버지, 저희를 꼭 안아 주시어 그 무엇도, 또한 그 누구도, 사랑하는 당신 품에서 저희를 떼어내지 못하게 해 주십시오!

“아버지, 오늘 아버지 나라의 권능과 영광이
저희를 통하여 빛이 나서,
온 세상이 저희를 본받아 아버지의
거룩한 이름을 우러르게 하여 주십시오!”
