" 헨델 - 메시아 전곡 감상 /(흐르는곡-어린양은 영광을 받으리) "


헨델 오라트리오 메시아 -전곡감상-  Messia
는 독특한 감정을 쏟아내며 메시야의 반주에 꽃인 트렘펫을 원전당시의 악
기 클라리노가 대신하는 정격연주 메시야입니다. 당대의 작곡가 의도대로
연주 하기 위해 합창단도 30명 내외이고 오케스트라도 챔버수준의 솔로이
스트입니다. 2001년에 소개 하여 드렸던 칼 리히터,런던필하모닉과는 완전
히 다른 해석이 나올 것입니다. 해석 또한 당시의 고증을 많이 참고하여 당
대의 해석 그대로 연주 하려고 노력 하였다고 합니다.지나친 감정이 이입
되는 끌고 당김, 그리고 고의적으로 늘리는 테누토, 리타르단도 등의 기법
을 남발하지 않고 악보에 충실 하였다고 합니다. 그리고 합창곡 정격연주
의 백미를 위해 보이소프라노를 기용한 것도 노력의 흔적이라 할 수 있습
니다. 영어권 메시아가 그러하듯 역시 빠른 템포로 연주하고 있습니다.

만들어져 판매되고 있습니다. 가디너나 칼리히터의 메시야에 비하면 매우
느리게 연주됩니다. 반면에 웅장하고 규모가 있습니다. 대규모 합창단과
오케스트라가 참여했습니다.제 개인적으로는 다른 곡들에 비해 더 감동적
인듯 합니다. 연주 도중에 틈틈이 섞인 심벌즈와 트라이앵글, 그리고 하프
가 좀 생소하긴 하지만 테누토, 리타르단도등의 기법과 걸맞는것 같아 감
흥이 더합니다. 가디너의 곡이 원전연주를 위해 보이소프라노를 참여 시킨
것은 당시의 재연을 위해서라는 면에서는 좋긴 한데 아마추어적인 느낌을
배제하지는 못합니다. 그러나 비첨경의 메시야에는 전문 성악가들이 참여
하고 있어서 다른 생각없이 음악에 감동할 수 있습니다. 특히 베이스 지오
르지오 토찌의 48번 곡 The Trumpet Shall Sound 에서는 압도당할 수 밖에
없을 것입니다.

제 1 부 예언 , 탄생

valley shall be exalted 
 
내 백성을 위로하라.. 모든 골짜기 높아지리라
RECITATIVE. (Accompanied - Tenor) Comfort ye, comfort ye My people,
saith your God; speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem; and cry unto her, that her
warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned. The voice of him that
crieth in the wilderness:
-Prepare ye the way of the Lord: make straight in the desert a highway for
our God.
 
40:1 너희 하느님이 가라사대 너희는 위로하라 내 백성을 위로하라
40:2 너희는 정다이 예루살렘에 말하며 그것에게 외쳐 고하라 그 복역의

40:4 골짜기마다 돋우어지며 산마다, 작은 산마다 낮아지며 고르지 않은 곳
이 평탄케 되며 험한 곳이 평지가 될 것이요

 만군의 주가 말씀하신다. 주 오시는 날 누가 능히 당하리
RECITATIVE. (Accompanied - Bass) Thus saith the Lord of Hosts:
 
-Yet once a little while and I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and
the dry land; and I will shake all nations; and the desire of all nations shall
come. The Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the
messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, He shall come, saith
the Lord of Hosts.
2:6 나 만군의 여호와가 말하노라 조금 있으면 내가 하늘과 땅과 바다와 육
지를 진동시킬 것이요
2:7 또한 만국을 진동시킬 것이며 만국의 보배가 이르리니 내가 영광으로

RECITATIVE. (Accompanied - Bass) For Behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people; but the Lord shall rise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee, and the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

60:3 열방은 네 빛으로, 열왕은 비취는 네 광명으로 나아오리라
소리를 높이라 두려워 말고 소리를 높여 유다의 성읍들에 이르기를 너희 하나님을 보라 하라

저 천사가 말하기를.. 갑자기 많은 천사들이 나타나서
 
RECITATIVE. (Soprano) There were shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
 
RECITATIVE. (Accompanied - Soprano) And lo! the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the
Lord shone round about them, and they were sore afraid.
 
RECITATIVE. (Soprano) And the angel said unto thee, Fear not; for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy,
which shall be to all people; for unto you is born this day in the City of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
 
RECITATIVE. (Accompanied - Soprano) And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host,

AIR. (Soprano) Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion Shout,
O daughter of Jerusalem! behold, thy King cometh unto thee!
He is the righteous Saviour and He shall speak peace unto the heathen.

RECITATIVE. (Alto) Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing.
AIR (Alto) He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: and He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.
AIR (Come unto Him, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and He will give you rest. Take His yoke upon you, and learn of Him, for He is meek and lowly of heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

[8] Nos.31/32 Recitative & Air tenor: He was cut off out of the land of the living ... But thou didst not leave his soul in hell  산자들의 땅에서 끊어지셨네... 여호와는 주의 영을 버리지 아니하셨네
RECITATIVE. (Accompanied - Soprano) He was cut off out of the land of the living; for the transgression of Thy people was He stricken.
AIR(Soprano) But Thou didst not leave His soul in hell;
nor didst Thou suffer Thy Holy One to see corruption.
16:10 이는 내 영혼을 음부에 버리지 아니하시며 주의 거룩한 자로 썩지 않게 하실 것임이니이다

[1] No.45 Air soprano: I know that my Redeemer liveth  주가 살아계심을 나는 안다.
AIR (Soprano) I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth; and though worms destroy this body yet, in my flesh shall I see God. For now is Christ risen from the dead, the firs-fruits of them that sleep.
CHORUS Since by man came death,
CHORUS By man came also the resurrection of the dead.
CHORUS For as in Adam all die,
CHORUS Even so in Christ shall all be made alive
RECITATIVE. (Accompanied - Bass) Behold, I tell you a mystery;

O grave! where is thy victory?  The sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law.
CHORUS But thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
