"ONE LIFE TO LIVE"

단 한 번의 기회
“그들이 모세와 예언자들의 말을 듣지 않으면, 죽은 이들 가운데에서 누가 다시 살아나도 믿지 않을 것이다.” —루카 16:31
We can choose to go to hell. Each one of us was born with a warped, fallen nature. We possess a hard heart, "tortuous" and "beyond remedy" (Jer 17:9). We can be so hard-hearted that we are like a barren desert or a lava waste (Jer 17:6). We can be so thick-headed that someone rising from a casket doesn't even make an impression on us (Lk 16:31).
지옥 가는 것도 자유입니다. 우리는 뒤틀리고 타락한 본성을 가지고 태어났습니다. 우리 마음에는 “교활하여 치유될 가망이 없는” (예레 17:9) 냉혹한 부분이 있어서, 메마른 사막이나 화산재처럼 될 수도 있습니다 (예레 17:6). 또 죽은 사람이 관을 열고 벌떡 일어나도 무덤덤할만큼 그렇게 우둔할 수도 있습니다 (루카 16:31).
"Who can free" us from such a wretched state? (Rm 7:24) Jesus alone can probe our warped minds and hardened hearts (Jer 17:10). If we ask Him, Jesus will remove our old, hardened heart and give us a new, natural heart (Ez 36:26).
“누가” 우리를 이 비참한 처지에서 “구할 수 있을까요?” (로마 7:24) 예수님만이 우리의 꼬인 마음을 살피시고 굳은 속을 떠보실 수 있습니다 (예레 17:10). 우리가 청하기만 하면, 예수님은 우리의 낡고 굳은 마음 대신 새롭고 진실한 영을 넣어주실 것입니다 (에제 36:26).
This is a critical, eternal, life-changing matter. If we choose to keep Jesus away from our heart, we'll probably also keep Him away from us forever in the isolation of hell. If we beg Jesus to take over our heart and our life, we'll thank Him forever for the privilege of spending eternity with Him in the ecstasy of heaven.
이것은 근본적이고 영원하며 삶을 바꾸는 문제입니다. 예수님께서 우리 마음에 오시는 것을 막는다면, 우리는 예수를 피해 지옥의 고독 속에 우리를 영원히 묻어버리는 것이 될 것이지만, 우리 마음과 우리의 삶을 예수님께 의탁한다면, 우리는 그분과 함께 천국의 기쁨 속에 영생을 향유하는 특권을 누림을 끝없이 감사하게 될 것입니다.
This life is the only opportunity you have to make this great choice. Don't trust in yourself to make the correct eternal choice. Trust only in the Lord (Jer 17:7). Put your heart and your life in His hands now.
우리 인생은 이런 삶을 선택할 단 한 번의 기회입니다. 이 중요한 결정을 스스로 할 수 있다고 생각 말고, 주님만을 신뢰하십시오 (예레 17:7). 이제는 여러분의 영혼과 삶을 주님의 두 팔에 의탁하시기 바랍니다.
