모래위의 발자국

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him and the other to the LORD. 어느날 꿈을 꾸었어. 꿈속에서 주님과 함께 해변가를 걷고 있었지. 하늘 저편에서 지나온 생애가 영화의 화면처럼 돌아가고 있었어. 화면마다 두 개의 발자국이 모래위에 찍혔어. 나의 발자국, 그리고 주님의 발자국 이었어.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. 마지막 생애의 장면이 펼쳐지고 있었어. 모래위의 발자국을 돌아 보았지. 가끔씩 가끔씩 모래위에 찍힌 발자국이 하나 뿐이였었어. 그 순간은 인생에서 슬프고 무척 힘든 시절이었어.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most trouble some times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you the most you would leave me. 이해 할 수가 없었어. 그래서 주님께 물었었지. "주님 당신은 나와 항상 동행하겠다고 말씀하셨는데 내가 가장 힘든 순간에 발자국이 하나 밖에 없어요. 왜 그랬나요 내가 주님을 필요로 할 때 왜 나를 떠났셨어요"

The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." 주님께서 말씀하셨어. "사랑하는, 사랑하는 나의 자녀야, 너를 사랑한단다. 난 너를 떠나지 않았어. 네가 고통속에서 비틀거리는 그 순간에 한 발자국인 까닭은 내가 너를 업고 지났기 때문이란다"...... 메어리 스티븐슨 Mary Stevenson (1922 - 1999)

미국의 펜실베니어 주 체스터에서 태어났다. 대공황기에 어머니가 세상을 떠나고 아버지는 일자리를 찾아 여섯 자매를 두고 집을 떠났다. 어려서 거리에서 춤을 배워 돈을 벌었다. 열 네 살이었던 1936년 겨울 어느 날 집안에 갇혀 눈 위의 고양이 발자국을 보고 하느님에게 기도를 하다가 영감을 받아 쓴 시가 "모래 위의 발자국"이었고 그날부터 많은 시를 쓰기 시작해서 만나는 사람들에게 주었다고 한다.

우리가 고통속에서 주님이 제일 필요로 할때 떠난것이 아니라 우리를 안고 가신다는.....제가 힘들고 어려울때 이시를 생각하면 항상 동행이라는것에 힘이 돼요...언젠가 다시 내려놓으시라는걸 믿어요.지금이 가장 힘든때라 생각이 드시면 위의 사진을 보세요.♥♣♠ 주님께서는 고통과 좌절과 포기할적에 용기를 주신다는것을 .....은총의 하루 하루가 되시기를 ......

감사합니다. 주님이 저를 업고 이 험한 세상 업고 가신다는 생각을 꼭 가슴 깊이 새기며 하루 하루 살아갈께요.. 행복한 하루 되세요~~ 사랑해요 *^^*
