A MIRACLE OR BEING IN HEAVEN WITH JESUS
“If, on the other hand, I am to go on living in the flesh, that means productive toil for me.” —Philippians 1:22
치유의 기적도 감사, 천국에서 예수님과 함께함도 감사
“그러나 내가 육신을 입고 계속 살아야 한다면, 나에게는 그것이 보람된 일을 하라는 뜻입니다. —필립 1:22
At this time, I am close to death because of cancer. Like Paul, I believe the Lord will save me through a miracle so that I will remain on earth to serve the Lord and proclaim the gospel (Phil 1:24). However, “I long to be freed from this life and to be with Christ, for that is the far better thing” (Phil 1:23). I pray “Christ will be exalted through me, whether I live or die. For, to me, ‘life’ means Christ; hence dying is so much gain” (Phil 1:20-21). I thank the Lord forever for dying on the cross for my salvation, giving me the faith to accept Him as Lord over every detail of my life, and promising to raise me from the dead. In Jesus, I am freed from the tyranny of the fear of death (Heb 2:14-15). My future is full of hope (Jer 29:11), and I can look forward to a great miracle or to see Jesus face to face in heaven (1 Cor 13:12). Thank You, Jesus, for Your love!
저는 지금 암에 걸려 죽음이 가까워오고 있습니다. 주님께서는 기적으로 저를 구하시어, 바오로 사도와 같이, 이 세상에 남아서 주님을 위해 봉사하며 복음을 전하게 하실 것을 믿습니다 (필립 1:24). 하지만, “제 바람은 이 세상을 떠나 그리스도와 함께 있는 것입니다. 그 편이 훨씬 낫습니다.” (필립 1:23). 저는 “살든지 죽든지 저의 이 몸으로 아주 담대히 그리스도를 찬양하게 하소서. 사실 저에게는 삶이 곧 그리스도이며 죽는 것이 이득입니다” 라고 기도합니다. (필립 1:20-21). 저를 구원하시려 십자가 위에서 돌아가시고, 제 인생의 모든 것의 주님으로서 당신을 받아들이는 신앙 주시고, 제가 죽음을 초월할 수 있게 해주시는 주님, 감사 드리나이다. 예수님 안에서, 저는 죽음의 공포로부터 해방되었습니다 (히브 2:14-15). 제 미래는 희망으로 가득 차 있으며 (예레 29:11), 치유의 기적을 주신다 해도 감사하고 천국에서 예수님의 얼굴을 마주 보여 주신다 해도 (1고린 13:12) 감사합니다. 예수님, 당신의 크신 사랑에 감사 드리나이다.
On this Sunday, the Church’s worldwide, weekly celebration of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead, let us revel in the glory of Jesus’ saving Passion, death, and resurrection. This precious gospel is beyond anything we can ever imagine (see Is 55:8-9). Rejoicing in its glory and mystery, let us conduct ourselves in a way worthy of this gospel (Phil 1:27).
이번 주일(主日)에도 세계의 모든 교회가 죽음을 이기고 부활하신 예수님을 기념함으로써, 우리로 하여금 예수님의 구원사업인 수난과 죽음과 부활의 영광을 만끽하게 합니다. 이 귀한 복음말씀은 우리가 생각할 수 있는 그 어느것 보다도 드높이 있는 것입니다 (이사 55:8-9 참조). 우리는 그 영광과 신비를 찬미하며 그리스도의 복음에 합당한 생활을 하도록 합시다 (필립 1:27).
