Lk 21:34-36

Jesus said to his disciples:
"Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy
from carousing and drunkenness
and the anxieties of daily life,
and that day catch you by surprise like a trap.
For that day will assault everyone
who lives on the face of the earth.
Be vigilant at all times
and pray that you have the strength
to escape the tribulations that are imminent
and to stand before the Son of Man."

*carous : 흥청거리는 연회

*tribulation : unhappiness, trouble, 고난

*imminent : near-by, impending, 임박한

너희는 앞으로 닥쳐올 이 모든 일을 피하여 사람의 아들 앞에 설수 있도록 늘 깨어 기도하여라.
