Long Island Korean Catholic Church was established on September 9, 1979 at the Gym of Notre dam Church by giving the first Mass by 18 families. Since then, our office (House of Love) was acquired on 1986 and started to give Mass at St. Dominic Church on 1993. The community had grown to have over 400 members in the unity of the love of our God. Recently on December 2, 2007 our church was reborn when all the parts-office, church and other activities-brought together in one place-Holy Name of the Jesus Christ Church, our current residency.

교우들의 신앙적 갈망과 주님의 사랑으로
1979 년 9월 9일 노틀담 성당 강당에서 18세대의 신자가족들이 모여 첫 미사를 봉헌하며 
롱아일랜드 한인 성당이 생겨났습니다. 주보 성인은 성 안토니오 성인 입니다.

그후

1986년 마련된 사무실이 있는 가톨릭회관 (사랑의 집)과 
1993년 부터 미사를 드리는 St. Dominic 성당에서
400여명의 신자들이 하느님의 사랑안에서 하나된 
신앙 공동체로 성장했답니다.

 

또한

2007년 12월 2일 현재의 본당으로 이전하면서

사무실과 회관과 성당이 한 장소에 합쳐진 모습으로 거듭나게됐습니다.
