Fr. David Bittmenn was born in 1966 to Joseph and Ida Bittmenn. Two brothers would follow and, aside from a year spent in Aurora, Colorado, the family lived in Tooele, Utah. Fr. David graduated from Tooele High School in 1984 and attended the University of Utah. He graduated magna cum laude from that institution in 1989 with degrees in political science and economics. Upon his acceptance as a candidate for priesthood by the Diocese of Salt Lake City, Fr. David began his seminary studies at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio. He was ordained June 25, 1994 in Salt Lake City by the Most Reverend William K. Weigand. Since ordination, Fr. David has served at Judge Memorial Catholic High School, St. Mary of the Assumption, the Cathedral of the Madeleine, St. Bridget, and St. Ambrose. He is currently pastor of St. Patrick's Parish in Salt Lake City.
