Hello,

 

Upon receiving several requests from church members, I thought I'd address a few topics. Also, I'd like to introduce myself, as some people have showed interest in my background bio.

 

I was born in Seoul and moved to the States when I was 6 years old. I obtained a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and pursued my D.D.S. degree at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Upon receiving my dental licensure in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, I moved to Madison in August of 2008 and am currently practicing with Midwest Dental, splitting time in the Madison East and Madison University clinics.

 

Although I have never taught 주일학교, I've been tutoring English (among other discliplinary subjects) to Korean students since I was in 3rd grade and have provided private tutorial sessions up to the point of entering dental school. Thus, I have 14+ years of experience in working with children and regard it as one of my life passions. ( My other hobbies include playing sports, traveling, art, and cooking- although some people have questioned my cooking abilities!  )

 

A question was brought up in regards to if a 5-yr old child is able to sign up, and the answer is definitely yes~! My current thinking process is to break up the 주일학교 into 2 groups: one for pre-K to 2nd graders and the other for 3rd to 6th graders. The 1st group would meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month and the 2nd group would meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. Because I feel more comfortable speaking English, the class would be taught in English, not Korean.
