5살에 피아노를 시작.
7살때 첼로를 시작했는데, 그 소질이 타고나서 여러 음악대회를 휩쓸었다.
Jimmy는 연속 2번째로 MSO(Madison Symphony Orchestra)와 함께 공연을 했다. 그의 나이는 불과 17살!
심지어는 TV에서 방영되기도 했다.
커서 Yo Yo Ma 보다 훌룡한 첼로리스트가 되기를...

Jimmy is a 17-year-old senior at Middleton High School. He began his musical studies on piano at age five and cello at age seven. He currently studies cello with Hans Jorgen Jensen at Northwestern University. Jimmy won the Madison Symphony Orchestra's High School Concerto Competition in 2005, and appeared as soloist with the MSO at the Spring Young People's Concert that same year. He has also performed as soloist with the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra, Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Middleton High School Orchestra. He (along with fellow finalist Krista Stewart) performed with the Alethea String Quartet when the ensemble was awarded first prize at the St. Paul String Quartet Competition and a Bronze Medal at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition in 2006. Jimmy has performed with violinist Joshua Bell on the PBS program "From the Top - Live at Carnegie Hall." When not playing his cello, Jimmy enjoys playing tennis, solving the Rubik's cube and contemplating physics. Jimmy performed the first movement (Allegro) of Antonin Dvorak's Cello Concerto in B minor.
